Jackson Chourio and William Contreras each homered and combined for three RBI in Milwaukee’s one-run postseason win.

Jackson Chourio and William Contreras each homered, and their combined three RBI matched Milwaukee’s run total. The Brewers did not need a big score to beat the San Diego Padres 3–2 on October 3, 2026, in the MLB postseason.
Chourio went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored. Contreras also made his one hit count, going 1-for-3 with a home run and an RBI, while scoring once and drawing a walk. Their run production gave Milwaukee a useful contrast with Jake Bauers, who had two hits in three at-bats. Bauers had the multiple-hit line; Chourio and Contreras had the RBI.
San Diego spread its offensive contributions differently. Luis Campusano went 1-for-3, drove in a run and drew a walk. Jake Cronenworth recorded the Padres’ other RBI in an 0-for-3 game. Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a walk, giving San Diego a multiple-hit performance of its own. Those individual lines accompanied a two-run total, one less than Milwaukee’s.
Jacob Misiorowski struck out six in four innings for the Brewers, allowing four hits and two earned runs while walking one. Aaron Ashby recorded five outs without allowing a hit, a walk or an earned run, adding one strikeout.
The Padres’ Robbie Ray allowed four hits and two earned runs in 2 2/3 innings, with one strikeout and two walks. Adrian Morejon allowed three hits and one earned run across two innings, striking out two without a walk.
