Ryan Hershberger

Editor of Corner Wire

Ryan Hershberger is the editor of Corner Wire, an independent sports publication covering MLB, NFL and NBA teams. He writes and directs original story ideas, sets the publication’s editorial standards, and is responsible for its published coverage, including automated team-desk articles.

Writing and editorial direction

Stories Ryan writes or directs through New Ideas carry his personal byline. He may use research and drafting tools to assist that work. AI assistance alone does not make a story an automated team-desk article.

Responsibility for automated coverage

Corner Wire’s automated game rundowns, injury reports and scheduled coverage identify the responsible team or league desks and include an “About this desk” link to their production and fact-checking policies. Ryan is the editor responsible for those workflows, their standards and corrections. That responsibility is distinct from a claim that he personally reviewed every automated article before publication.
