Privacy policy
Updated September 10, 2026. This policy describes the rebuilt edition of Corner Wire, operated by Ryan Hershberger. While it is a private preview, this policy applies to the preview; the existing WordPress site retains its own policy until the new edition launches.
Information used to run the site
Our hosting and security providers process technical request information, which may include your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times, to deliver the site, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. This edition is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. Those providers also describe their handling of information in their own privacy notices.
The private preview and editorial desk use account sign-in. Authentication may use essential cookies or similar storage to maintain a session. Editorial records, revisions and account identifiers are stored to operate the publication and restrict publishing access.
When you contact us
If you email thecornerwirenews@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use Gmail to receive and respond to correspondence, handle corrections and permissions, and maintain necessary editorial records. Please include only information relevant to your request.
Subscriptions, comments and advertising
This edition has no email newsletter signup, public comment form, Google Analytics integration or live advertising scripts. Advertisement placeholders do not serve ads or set advertising cookies. An RSS feed is available without giving us an email address. We will update this policy and configure applicable choices before enabling additional collection or advertising services.
Links and outside services
Following an external link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices. Some older articles reference images hosted by other websites; loading those images sends a request from your browser to that image provider. Legacy video embeds are presented as links in this edition. We do not sell reader mailing lists. Service providers may process information as needed to operate the site, email and security services; information may also be disclosed when legally required.
Retention and requests
We retain correspondence and editorial records as needed to respond, document corrections and permissions, protect the site and meet applicable obligations. Hosting, email and authentication providers maintain their own service and backup retention practices. To request access, correction or deletion of personal information we control, email us. We may need to verify the request and may retain records where required or permitted by applicable law.
Children and security
The site is intended for a general audience and does not seek personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information that should be removed. We use access controls and secure connections, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
