The Tampa Bay Rays scored in each of the first three innings and beat the Cleveland Guardians 3–1 on October 18, 2026, in a postseason game. Drew Rasmussen allowed one run over seven innings, while Cleveland’s only run came in the sixth.

Tampa Bay’s scoring came through three different hitters. Jonny DeLuca’s first-inning walk brought home Yandy Diaz. Jonathan Aranda singled to left in the second to score Ben Williamson, and Liam Hicks singled to center in the third to bring in Chandler Simpson. Those three plays put the Rays ahead 3–0.

Cleveland got on the board when Chase DeLauter grounded out to first in the sixth and Steven Kwan scored. Kwan finished with two hits and the Guardians’ lone run. The sixth-inning score was the only change after Tampa Bay’s third-inning run.

Rasmussen’s seven innings included four hits allowed and six strikeouts. Aranda and Hicks each finished with two hits and one RBI, matching contributions that included the run-scoring singles in Tampa Bay’s early scoring sequence.
